Product Update: Custom Sending Domains

LAST UPDATED: NOVEMBER 26TH, 2023

We’re stoked to roll out a feature that’s been highly requested: the ability to use a custom email sending domain and link branding.

This means you can now send emails from your own domain (like @yourcompany.com) instead of the default UserEvidence domain, userevidence.com. This boosts your brand’s credibility and trust in every email you send.

Keep reading to learn more about custom domains and link branding, plus how you can set both up:

The perks of using custom domains

  1. Professionalism and brand identity: Using a custom email domain, like @yourcompany.com, immediately elevates your brand’s professionalism. It’s a small change with a big impact, making every email you send feel like an official correspondence from your company.
  2. Trust and credibility: Emails from a recognizable domain build trust. When recipients see your company’s name right in the email address, it boosts the credibility of your messages, increases open rates and improves engagement.
  3. Consistent branding: Seamless branding across all platforms is key. With custom domains, your emails and links align perfectly with your website and brand aesthetic, offering a unified customer experience.

Setting up your custom domains

Setting up your custom domain is straightforward, and we’re here to make it even easier on you.

Step 1: Receive your DNS records

Your Customer Success Manager at UserEvidence will provide you with two important sets of DNS records. One is for your email domain, and the other is for link branding.

Email link branding allows all of the click-tracked links and opens tracked images in your emails to be from your domain.

Step 2: Update your DNS settings

You’ll need to work with your IT team to update your DNS settings. It’s as simple as adding a few lines of information to your domain settings.

This might sound technical, but it’s just a way of pointing your chosen domain to our servers. If you’re not sure how to do this, our team is ready to help and can work directly with someone on your IT team.

Step 3: Confirm the setup

Let your Customer Success Manager know once you’ve updated your DNS settings.

We’ll take it from there and verify everything on our end to ensure your custom domain is up and running smoothly.

Note:

Adding UserEvidence’s DNS records won’t interfere with any existing setups or records your organization has.
